Willow House offers support groups for children, teens, young adults and families who are grieving the death of their Mom, Dad and Spouse or Brother, Sister and Child. The death of a loved one is a painful and isolating experience; one in which life is changed forever for the entire family. Parents and other caregivers usually have questions and concerns for themselves and their children. At Willow House we know that grieving is a normal reaction to a devastating loss. The emotions, feelings, thoughts and significant life changes that come with grieving the death of a loved one are challenging and frequently misunderstood.

Addressing the needs of grieving children, teens, young adults and families in a safe and supportive environment can ease the challenges and may also help to prevent difficulties for children and teens later in their development. Supporting and educating parents can help them with their personal grief experience and enable them to better attend to the needs of the grieving children and teens in their care.

Being with others who understand, empathize and "get it" in a safe, non-judgmental place can be nurturing, supportive and helpful in the healing process. Willow House peer groups provide support to children, teens, young adults and their families during what is likely the most challenging time in their lives. This support can help them to work through their grief, to share and honor their memories and to make possible a healthy healing journey from dark isolation of grief to a place of hope and possibilities.

In addition to the peer support groups, Willow House offers the following services:
