Why Willow House? "He who plants a tree plants a hope," declares Lucy Larcom in her poem "Plant a Tree." Indeed, that is the root of the vision of Willow House. One child at a time, one family at a time, one gift at time, we plant hope. When you stand back to look at all of the plantings, we have a veritable forest of hope!
Most charitable donors around the world give of their resources to fight illnesses, research cures, end plagues and repair natural disasters. If we give enough time, talent or treasure, we can end all of the unpleasant things in our world. At Willow House, we ask our patrons to invest in hope, empathy and encouragement. We are asking them to invest in a beginning, not an ending. What a wonderful opportunity for them, and for Willow House!
It's a brilliant reward to be able to plant a seed, nurture it, watch it grow and, ultimately, enjoy the fruits of the tree. I hope you'll consider planting a seed at Willow House, so you can help us nurture the hope of our families and watch hope bear the fruit of possibility!
If you are interested in discussing a Willow House partnership, please call (847.236.9300 ext 206) or email Stephanie Garrity and we can explore the opportunity!

Opportunities for Partnership
The Gift of Time and Talent Oftentimes more valuable than our financial assets is our time. For Willow House friends with a special talent or skill (e.g. attorney, marketing/design, finance) or a little free time (for group facilitating, Family Camp, photocopying, mailing, filing, phone calls), Willow House would love to be the beneficiary of your services.
The Gift of Treasure - Financial Investment Cash as a form of giving is simple, uncomplicated and tax-deductible!
Memorial or Honor Gift A memorial gift provides a thoughtful way to express sympathy. An honor gift serves as a remembrance of a special person, occasion or accomplishment. The honoree or family of the deceased will receive an acknowledgement note from Willow House stating that a gift has been received, but will not specify the amount of the gift.
Stocks or Securities Securities which have appreciated in value donated to Willow House are fully deductible as allowable by law.
Real Estate Gifts of land or buildings may result in income and estate tax savings to the property owner.
Planned Gift You may wish to make Willow House the sole or co-beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Significant tax benefits are available through gifts of insurance. A charitable bequest may be added to a will by codicil and not affect the current income or value of the estate. A planned gift is any gift that requires the assistance of financial or legal advisors. A deferred gift promises future support of Willow House in the form of a bequest, a gift of life insurance or a variety of life income options.
