Brent

Brent will be interning at Willow House for the 2024-25 academic year while working to complete his MSW at Loyola University Chicago. He joins Willow House with specific interests in grief counseling/bereavement—Brent has experienced the death of a spouse, a loss that prompted him to pursue social work and continues to inform his professional perspectives on grief.

Prior to starting his MSW, Brent was a special education teacher and researcher for many years. When he is not busy with graduate school, Brent loves to walk around his neighborhood (Rogers Park), enjoys video games with his son, is an amateur powerlifter, and watches entirely too much NBA.
