Young Professionals Board
Become a Member!
The Willow House Young Professionals Board is a group of focused and hardworking young professionals dedicated to helping Willow House on its mission of supporting children, families, schools, and communities coping with grief through community outreach, fundraising, and service events.
In addition to helping Willow House plan and organize its annual events (Walk & 5K Run, Fundraising Gala, etc), the Young Professionals Board will run a variety of other events ranging from a Welcome BBQ, kickball tournament, community service, or donation drives (to name a few) with the goal being to unite and connect Willow House families and the community around them in ways outside your “typical” Willow House events.
With this in mind, we hope to make dealing with grief easier by truly showing the meaning of family. By connecting people and benefiting the community, we hope to create bonds that last for a lifetime while positively impacting the lives of others. But there is just one thing: WE NEED YOUR HELP!
To become a member of the Young Professionals Board, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a “Young Professional” (This does not necessarily mean you are out of college and in your early 20s but rather are passionate and dedicated to helping families dealing with grief and can provide new and creative ideas to help grow Willow House’s impact)
- Organized, driven, and hard-working
- Available to meet 1-2 times per month
- Fun and inspiring!
- Must be at least 21 years or older
Outreach Chair (2): Main responsibilities include recruiting new board members, contacting families regarding our events, as well as running our website and social media accounts.
