Grief Foundations: Online Training for Children's Grief Support and Group Facilitation
Willow House offers a virtual program that delivers online training and resources for mental health professionals seeking to facilitate children’s grief support groups across diverse clinical settings.

The online training comprises three primary modules that incorporate diverse learning methods such as recorded presentations, practical assignments and discussions, videos, handouts, quizzes, and supplementary resources. Completing the training typically requires around 11 hours, which can be done at your convenience. Following completion, Trainees are asked to commit to leading grief support groups and providing data to Willow House.

Facilitating Grief Support Groups
To earn a certificate of completion and access to additional materials in the Facilitator Portal, trainees must successfully finish all modules, submit required application assignments and participate in discussions, and pass module quizzes. Upon completion, trainees will gain entry to the Facilitator Portal, receive the Facilitator Handbook, and access additional supplementary materials and resources. Continuous access to the Facilitator Portal is contingent upon ongoing group facilitation and timely submission of data.
Requirements
- Must be a mental health professional (SW, LPC, LCPC, etc)
- Complete on-demand training modules and required application assignments and quizzes
- Commit to offering grief support groups within your community following your completion of the training
- Submit data to Willow House for all groups facilitated

Optional but Highly Encouraged
- Attend monthly online connections calls with other participants in the training
